The cameras use a Casio " proprietary" lithium ion battery. Raw images from the CCD are not available by default, though on some models a service menu can be accessed allowing images to be recorded as the raw data. Images are recorded as JPEGs with Exif data. The cradle is used to recharge the camera's battery and to connect the camera to a PC or PictBridge compatible printer. Many Exilim cameras come with a bundled charging and docking cradle. They come with a small amount of internal memory and are not bundled with a memory card.
